Cpl. Adam R. Fales 21, Combat Service Support Detachment-21, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Cullman, Alabama. Died of a non-hostile gunshot wound in Falluja, Iraq, on December 16, 2005. He was assigned to Combat Service Support Detachment-21, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C. The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. Andrew K. Farrar Jr. 31, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 2nd Force Service Support Group, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Weymouth, Massachusetts. Died due to a non-hostile related incident in Anbar province, Iraq, on January 28, 2005 Al Anbar Province. Non-hostile – electrocution

Marine Sgt. Michael W. Finke, Jr., 28, of Huron, Ohio. Finke died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

Sgt. James F. Fordyce, 22, of Newton Square, Pa. WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2006 The Defense Department announced the names of eight Marines and two airmen killed in a Feb. 17, 2006 helicopter crash while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. All 10 died when two CH-53 Sea Stallion
helicopters crashed into the Gulf of Aden near Ras Siyyan, northern Djibouti, while flying a training mission in the Godoria Range area, officials reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Pfc. Jason Franco 18, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Corona, California Died from a non-hostile incident in Anbar province, Iraq, on October 31, 2006. Update: gunshot wound to the head.

Lance Cpl. David K. Fribley, 26, died on March 23, 2003 in Nasiriyah, Iraq of friendly fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Camp Lejeune, NC.

Sgt. Ralph Anthony Webb Frietas, 23, of Detroit, Mich., died Dec 8, 2009. as a result of unknown causes in Baghdad. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan. The incident is under investigation.

1st Lt. Travis J. Fuller, 26, of Granville, Massachusetts. Fuller died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

PFC James V. Gardner, USMC, died October 1, 1991 at the Bangor Naval Subbase at Silverdale, Washington. Died of an “apparent suicide by gunshot.” The family contests the finding of cause of death.

Cpl. Jose A. Garibay, 21, of Costa Mesa, California, died on March 23, 2003, of possible friendly fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Camp Lejeune, NC.

Cpl. Erik T. Garoutte, 22, of Santee, Calif., died Oct. 19, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team Company, Marine Corps Security Force Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Norfolk, Va. Garoutte, 22, of Santee, Calif., collapsed and died Oct. 19 after working out in Baghdad, where he had been stationed for nearly three months

2nd Lt. Mark C. Gelina 33, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Moberly, Missouri Died in a non-hostile incident in Anbar province, Iraq, on November 4, 

SSgt. Scott N. Germosen, 37, of Queens, N.Y., died on Jan. 9, 2002; plane crash in Pakistan.

Cpl. Timothy M. Gibson, 23, of Hillsborough, New Hampshire. Gibson died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

Pvt. Jonathan L. Gifford, 20, of Decatur/Macon, Illinois, died on March 23, 2003, in Nasiriyah, iraq of possible friendly fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Camp Lejeune, NC.

Cpl. Richard A. Gilbert, Jr., 26, of Montgomery, Ohio. Gilbert died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

LCpl. Johnathan K. Goffred, 22, Johnson County, IN Died on January 26, 2008. Stationed at Camp Pendleton — 3rd Battalion, 1st Regiment — “He was found hanged in his barracks room on a Saturday morning.”

Cpl. Jorge A. Gonzalez, 20, of Los Angeles, California, died on March 23, 2003 in Nasiriyah, Iraq, of possible friendly fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Camp Lejeune, NC

Marine Capt. Lyle L. Gordon, 30, of Midlothian, Texas. Gordon died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. Died on January 26, 2005

Lance Cpl. David J. Grames Sanchez, 22, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Died May 11, 2006, as a result of a vehicle accident in Al Anbar province, Iraq. All four Marines were assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Cpl. Jeffrey G. Green 20, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Dallas, Texas. Found dead in the Euphrates River in Anbar province, Iraq, on May 5, 2004. The cause of death is under investigation

Cpl. Kyle J. Grimes, 21, of Northampton, Pennsylvania. Grimes died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

 Sgt. Michael J. Guillory, 28, of Pearl River, La., died Dec. 14, 2012 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, Camp Pendleton, Calif. This incident is under investigation.

Pfc. Christian D. Gurtner, 19, of Ohio City, Ohio Marine killed by non-combat weapons discharge in southern Iraq. (4/03/2003)

Pfc. Robert A. Guy 26, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Willards, Maryland. Died due to a non-hostile incident near Karma, Iraq, on April 21, 2005. “Any little thing they do is a help,” said Ann Guy, of Willards, Md., whose son, Marine Pfc. Robert A. Guy, killed himself in Iraq on April 21, 2005 – a month after he was prescribed the antidepressant Zoloft with no monitoring

Lance Cpl. Randy M. Heck, 20, of Steubenville, Ohio, died March 28, 2010 from a non-hostile incident in Djibouti, Africa. He was assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. This incident is under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Tony L. Hernandez, 22, of Canyon Lake, Texas. Hernandez died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. Died on January 26, 2005.

Cpl. Terry Holmes, 22, of Hollywood, Florida. Four members of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California died July 10, 2004 due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Cpl. Paul C. Holter III 21, Battery S, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Corpus Christi, Texas Died due to a non-combat related incident at Camp Ramadi, Iraq, on January 14, 2005. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Lance Cpl. Brian C. Hopper, 21, of Wynne, Arkansas. Hopper died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.
